Dear Vendors:

Well it’s that time of year again to be thinking of your participation in the Summer 2008 Colorado Wildland Fire & Incident Management Academy (formerly Colorado Wildfire Academy and Great Plains Wildfire College). The Summer Academy will be held in Gunnison, Colorado the week of May 31st. We are expecting over 900 participants. These participants will be from various federal, state, local and private agencies from around the state and country. We also expect participation from some foreign countries again this year.

Booth space to display and sell products is available. A booth space (approximately 8'X10') will be $300.00 for the week. This includes hot breakfast & lunch for up to 2 people from your company per day. If more than 2 persons are attending then an extra $15.00 per day per person is required for meals. Additional table fee is $75.00. Truck vendors must purchase a booth space, no extra charge for outside space. Outside space will be limited due to constraints from the college; however, we will do our best to get you the needed traffic to show your products.

You are also invited to attend the catered banquet dinner to be held Tuesday, June 3rd, $18 per person. This is a great opportunity for staff, instructors, students, vendors, and city officials to mingle. Door prizes will also be given away; these door prizes are collected from the vendors and local businesses. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Set-up will be Friday, May 30th at 1 P.M. To register, you must do so on-line which is www.cowildfireacademy.com (this web site). Vendor spaces will be assigned to the pre-registered vendors first, then remaining vendors on a first come first served basis.

Registration will ONLY be accepted online. Mail in registrations will not be accepted. Please contact Vendor Rep if this is a problem. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jeannie at 303-289-9909.

Part III Sales Tax
If you are selling goods at the Colorado Wildland Fire & Incident Management Academy, you will need to collect this sales tax on all sales and pay this tax prior to leaving. In the past, to save each vendor from obtaining a sales tax license, the Colorado Wildfire Academy was issued a special permit for the Academy event. If this continues in 2008, the Academy will be collecting the tax from each vendor. Each vendor will be responsible for keeping a written record of their daily sales. Check this web page later for more details on the procedure for the 2008 Academies.
